IL TEMPIO VOLTIANO

On the occasion of the celebrations for the hundredth anniversary of the death of the illustrious fellow citizen Alessandro Volta, the cotton entrepreneur Francesco Somaini gave the city a gift of this neoclassical structure on the shores of the lake, built with the aim of celebrating the great scientist and enhancing his studies .
The interior of the building, built in 1928 by the architect Federico Frigerio, can be visited with the entrance ticket and offers inside exhibitions of some original instruments by Volta and some reconstructions, and a library with volumes of archeology, art , local history and archival collections.

The Voltiano Temple is located in Viale Marconi, a few steps from our apartments and is a fundamental stop for visiting Lake Como. On the social networks and on the Tempio Voltiano website it is possible to check the opening hours and ticket prices for admission, with discounts for families and groups.
